Sydney Hendriksen

Registered Social Worker (MSW)

Sydney is a registered Social Worker dedicated to supporting children, adults, and families through compassionate, evidence-informed therapeutic care. She holds a Master of Social Work, as well as an undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminology. Sydney approaches her work with warmth, empathy, and a holistic lens, drawing from modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Therapy, Play Therapy, and Brief Solution-Focused Therapy (BSFT).

Sydney’s professional background includes experience in child welfare, crisis intervention, hospital social work, and adolescent mental health. Growing up in rural Ontario, she witnessed the stigma surrounding mental health and seeking support—an experience that inspired her to pursue a career in social work. She understands that starting therapy can feel overwhelming and welcomes clients to openly explore any hesitations or uncertainties in a safe, supportive environment.

Outside of her practice, Sydney enjoys spending time with family and friends, visiting her home farm, photography, thrift shopping, and listening to podcasts.
