Our Approach

Your intake facilitator will complete an intake assessment to understand how your current difficulties may have developed and are maintained within your life's various contexts.

 

The results of this assessment will be shared with you, and a treatment plan will be developed including some potential goals for therapy and the strategies that may be used to help you reach your goals.

 

Throughout your therapy journey, you are invited to share any concerns or questions that you may have about the therapy process. This helps the therapist to personalize the treatment strategies to better match your unique needs.

 

Services are by appointment only unless attending our walk-in therapy program. Please note that we are not a crisis clinic and if you are in a state of emergency, please call 911, or Telehealth at 1-866-797-0000.

Fees + Payment

Payment is required after your session. Payments can be made by your card on our Jane file, cash, debit, credit card, e-transfer.

 

Administration can give you an invoice for your insurance claim if applicable. Clients are expected to attend every scheduled appointment. If you cannot attend, please contact the Clinic ASAP to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations will be charged 50% of their booked service. Missed appointments (no-shows), will be charged 100% of your appointment. Exceptions are permitted for emergencies.

Cancellation Policy

At Empowerment Health & Wellness, we have updated our cancellation & no-show policy. We do now require a 24-hour notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment. If there is an emergency—please contact us!

 

We understand that things come up last minute but please be respectful as we are committing our time as well. Late cancellations will be charged 50% of their booked service. Missed appointments (no-shows) will now be charged your full booked session price to your card on file. Exceptions are permitted for emergencies only.

 

Clients are required to let their Clinician or Administration know if they are not wanting to continue therapy services for safety purposes only.

 

Clinicians will never take offence to services stopping but do have a responsibility to ensure that safety is a top priority. If Clinicians have reason to believe that a client can harm themselves and/or others, emergency measures will be executed (i.e. contacting emergency contacts and/or 911). In our intake forms, clients sign that they understand these policies.
